RENOVATION OF THE SAN MIGUEL TOWER IN CABO DE GATA (ALMERÍA)
TESELA Materials Innovation and Heritage is participating in the rehabilitation project of the San Miguel Tower, an 18th-century military watchtower located in the Cabo de Gata area of Almería. This site, of great historical and scenic value, is part of the protected cultural heritage, having been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) in 1985. Intervention in this type of heritage asset always involves a significant technical commitment and responsibility, aimed at guaranteeing its conservation and enhancement through solutions that respect its historical identity.
The project has begun with a kickoff meeting attended by all stakeholders: the drafting team, representatives from the Almería City Council, the Coastal Authority, the construction company, and TESELA. During this meeting, the foundations of the project were established, along with the initial work plan and the definition of responsibilities among the various participating entities.

The work on the San Miguel Tower will allow progress in the conservation of this historic defensive element, contributing to the protection and enhancement of cultural heritage in the Cabo de Gata area.
This project is part of TESELA’s line of work focused on research, conservation and intervention in heritage assets, applying rigorous methodologies and innovative solutions adapted to each historical and constructive context.
