It has been a few days of intense work during the exciting kick-off meeting for the HERIT4AGES project held at Tyndall National Institute in Cork (Ireland).

Funded by the European Commission through the Call: HORIZON-CL5-2022-D4-02 (Efficient, sustainable, and inclusive energy use) which obtained the highest score from the evaluators, the project will develop technologies enabling the energy upgrade of heritage buildings, which have special requirements due to their hashtag#materials and conservation status.
These technologies will be tested in several demonstration sites across Europe (Italy, Estonia, Portugal or Spain), and will also improve occupant comfort and enhance the value of these buildings.

The best of all has been to be able to deal directly with the different partners with whom we have worked on the proposal and with whom we will develop the solutions: CETIM Technology Centre, IERC – International Energy Research Centre, FENIX TNT, IDP Engineering, Environment and Architecture, Santa Maria la Real Historical Heritage Foundation, UNINOVA, Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, Institute of Baltic Studies, Łukasiewicz – Łódzki Instytut Technologiczny, Politechnika Warszawska.

Special thanks to Carlos Ochoa, Chantal Basurto and Lorena Sánchez Relaño for their excellent organisation, coordination and attention at all times.
