Our CEO and founder, Eugenio Navarro, was recently interviewed by CETIM as part of our joint collaboration on various R&D&I projects, such as HERIT4AGES and MORFEO.

In this interview, we have discussed some of the key aspects that define TESELA’s work, from its origins as a spin-off linked to materials research to its development into a company specialising in advanced solutions for the construction, industrial and heritage sectors.

One of the main themes of the discussion centred on the role of materials science in the conservation of historical heritage. In this regard, the focus is on the need to move towards performance-based approaches, moving beyond the literal reproduction of traditional materials, and instead embracing innovative solutions that ensure compatibility, durability and respect for the cultural values of the heritage assets.

The interview also explored TESELA’s involvement in European and national R&D projects, highlighting its contribution to the development of solutions focused on sustainability, energy efficiency and the circular economy, particularly in the fields of construction and renovation.

The value of collaborating with technology centres such as CETIM has also been examined, highlighting the importance of partnerships in driving innovation and addressing the sector’s current challenges.

Overall, this interview has provided a comprehensive overview of TESELA’s approach and the trends that will shape the future of materials, both in heritage conservation and in construction.
