Chemist (Universidad de Málaga), Master in Advanced Chemistry and Nanotechnology, and Industrial Doctor in Advanced Chemistry (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid). Highly experienced in the field of advanced and sustainable materials for energy, construction and water treatment. He acts as R&D Project Manager at TESELA, and is the main coordinator of national and European projects.

Dr. Anna Arizzi is a tenured Professor at the Department of Mineralogy and Petrology of the University of Granada (UGR) (ORCID ID: 0000-0002 -8996-0205; SCOPUS ID: 25821710100). Chemistry (Università degli studi di Messina), MSc in Geology, PhD in Earth Sciences (University of Granada) and post-doctoral stage at the University of Oxford (Marie Curie IEF contract). Since 2008 she has been teaching at the University of Granada, in the degrees of Chemistry, Geology, and Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, and in the master’s degree in Science and Technology of Architectural Heritage, of which she is the coordinator since 2022. She has participated in 1 European, 3 national and 2 Andalusian research projects and is currently principal investigator of 1 national research project. She has published more than 40 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, books and book chapters and has presented more than 40 communications in national and international conferences, all related to traditional building materials. Her main lines of research focus on (1) The optimisation of the manufacture of natural hydraulic lime; (2) The design of new lime mortars for restoration; (3) The use of natural additives in mortars and the study of their durability; (4) The design of new sustainable construction materials. She is a founding partner and technical and scientific advisor of TESELA.

Founding partner and advisor to the Heritage area of TESELA. He is author or editor of more than 200 articles, chapters, scientific-technical papers and author or co-author of 75 articles in SCI and/or AHCI journals. He has been responsible researcher or researcher in 37 projects (national and international) of R&D and Integrated Actions, member of the Technical Commission of the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage, of the International Executive Committee of the Federation of International Centres for Heritage Conservation, coordinator of the Official Master of the UGR: Science and Technology in Architectural Heritage and evaluator of Research Projects of the ANEP and the ACSUCYL Agency.

Partner and collaborator in the area of Heritage at TESELA. He has developed his career with a special interest in historical and urban heritage, having developed a multitude of urban and rehabilitation projects, with a special interest in architectural and protectionist projects on the heritage of modernity and its image with scientific parameterisation, being a teacher in various heritage protection programmes. He has been a scholarship holder of the Arquia Foundation and an associate architect in the studio of Juan Navarro Baldeweg. He is currently Vice-Dean of the School of Architecture and Academic Director of the European University of the Canary Islands.

Master’s Degree in Geological Engineering from the Complutense University of Madrid and Master’s Degree in Science and Technology in Architectural Heritage from the University of Granada. Previous work experience as an assistant technician and researcher in quality control and materials characterisation companies. Currently FPI pre-doctoral fellow in the Doctorate Programme in Earth Sciences (University of Granada) within the Id-Cal project (PID2020-119838RA-I00) on the “Optimisation of the manufacturing process of natural hydraulic lime to promote its use in sustainable construction and restoration”. Three-month stay at the Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy) in scientific collaboration.
