CHARACTERISATION OF MATERIALS FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE MIRADOR DE LAS ALMENILLAS IN ANTEQUERA

Located near the Arco de los Gigantes, the Almernillas viewpoint offers a unique panoramic view of the city of Antequera and its heritage, as well as the Peña de los Enamorados.

For this project, the compositional and structural characteristics of a series of samples of mortar and stone material were analysed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and polarised optical microscopy (POM).
