On the 14th of April, together with the Centro de Referencia Nacional de Artesanía, we were able to hold a theoretical-practical training workshop for teachers at the Clúster de la Construcción Sostenible de Andalucía (Andalusian Sustainable Construction Cluster). At this event, we had the opportunity to explore lime as a traditional material for heritage restoration.

The day was streamed on the Andalusian Employment Service’s YouTube channel, allowing the audience to join this valuable learning session. If you missed it or want to relive the workshop, you can watch the full recording at the bottom of the post.

During the workshop, we explored in depth the importance of lime in heritage restoration and its relevance in the current context of sustainable construction. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the properties and characteristics of lime, as well as its practical application in the restoration of historic buildings and monuments.

We would like to thank all those who contributed to the organisation and success of this event. We thank Roberto Navarro Torres, Marta Chica, Susana Rodríguez, Antonio Suárez Martín, Jose (YouTube channel SAE), Julia Ramos, Eduardo Sebastián and Anna Arizzi for their valuable collaboration.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the National Reference Centre for Crafts for organising this very necessary and interesting event. In addition, we would like to thank all participants for their enthusiasm and active participation. We hope that the knowledge gained will be of great use to you in your educational work!
