💚🤝The year is off to a strong start, collaborating with the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage – IAPH in the conservation work of the Natural Monument Huellas Fósiles de Medusas de Constantina (Seville).

🌳🌐The natural monument is located in the palaeontological site of the Lower Cambrian Jellyfish of Constantina, about two kilometres from the Cerro de la Víbora site, within the Sierra Norte de Sevilla Natural Park, and constitutes the largest collection of Cambrian fossils in the region. Europe, as it concentrates 90 jellyfish fossils, some up to 88 centimetres in diameter, of a high quality and dating back some 550 million years, when this area was submerged in the sea, in a stone surface of 120 square metres. 🌊🕰️

💡🔬 TESELA Materiales Innovación y Patrimonio will actively participate in the coming months in the work, carrying out preliminary characterisation and identification studies using various instrumental techniques, as well as collaborating with the other technicians in the sampling and evaluation of the results.
