Science and technology applied to materials and heritage
TESELA is a science- and technology-based company based in Padul, Granada. We apply specialist knowledge to the analysis of raw materials and building materials, the development of new solutions, and the study and conservation of cultural heritage.
We work with companies, public authorities, professionals and research organisations to address technical needs, improve products and processes, and drive innovation projects. Our work combines multidisciplinary expertise, laboratory capabilities and a practical, results-oriented approach.

Scientific background and links with the University of Granada
TESELA was founded as a spin-off from the University of Granada, drawing on the knowledge generated in the field of construction materials and their application to architectural heritage. This scientific link forms part of the company’s origins and specialisation.
Among its founding members is Eduardo Sebastián Pardo, a professor in the Department of Mineralogy and Petrology and principal investigator of the ‘Study and Conservation of Building Materials in Architectural Heritage’ research group at the University of Granada.
Multidisciplinary experience
The TESELA team combines expertise in chemistry, engineering, geology, conservation and restoration, architecture, materials and innovation. This multidisciplinary approach enables us to undertake projects involving analysis and characterisation, heritage assessment, materials development and technical support throughout the various stages of a restoration project or R&D project.
TESELA employs qualified technical staff with experience in building materials, innovation and heritage conservation. Our facilities and our collaboration with universities, technology centres and other organisations enable us to tailor our resources and technical methods to the needs of each project.
