Chemist (University of Granada). Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Head of R&D and laboratory. Extensive experience in the field of materials development for the building sector. From 2003 to 2004 he worked as a laboratory technician at Morteros ARGOS S.L. He was subsequently promoted to R&D and Laboratory Manager at Morteros ARGOS S.L. and DANOSA from 2004 to 2018. During this period he has carried out tasks of product formulation, quality control, research and development of new products and systems and certifications, strategy definition and planning of new product development, market research and budget management and control.

Chemist (Universidad de Málaga), Master in Advanced Chemistry and Nanotechnology, and Industrial Doctor in Advanced Chemistry (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid). Highly experienced in the field of advanced and sustainable materials for energy, construction and water treatment. He acts as R&D Project Manager at TESELA, and is the main coordinator of national and European projects.

Civil Engineer (Mu’tah University, Jordan), Master’s in Civil Engineering (Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus) and PhD in Civil Engineering cum laude (University of Granada). Extensive experience in sustainable cementitious materials, geopolymers and alkali-activated materials, specialising in the recovery of industrial waste and biomass derivatives (GGBS/slag, fly ash from forest gasification, metakaolin) for the development of binders with a low environmental footprint. She joins TESELA, bringing her expertise in microstructural characterisation (XRD, XRF, SEM-EDS, TGA), performance testing and life cycle assessment (LCA), thereby strengthening the R&D department in the field of sustainable construction materials.

Cristina Porras Alcalá finished her degree in Chemistry in 2016 at the University of Málaga and joined the research group ‘Diseño y Síntesis de Fármacos’ (Drug Design and Synthesis), where she developed her Final Degree Project with a research grant. In 2017, she completed her Master’s degree in Advanced Chemistry and did her Master’s thesis in the same group. In the same year, she worked as a junior researcher at Janssen-Cilag (Johnson & Johnson) in the neuroscience area, developing drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. In 2018, she started her PhD Thesis in the ‘Synthesis and Nanotechnology’ group, publishing 7 papers and doing a stay at the Max Planck Institute. In 2023, she started her career in the pharmaceutical industry at Villapharma, part of Eurofins, contributing to the development of new drugs. She completed her doctoral thesis in 2024 with a distinction cum laude and international mention. She is currently working in R&D&I project management at TESELA.

Experience in the development and fine-tuning of analytical methodologies. He is currently working as an R&D researcher in the area of advanced materials at Tesela.

Graduate in Chemistry from the University of Granada. She is currently working as an R&D technician at Tesela.

Founding partner and advisor to the Heritage area of TESELA. He is author or editor of more than 200 articles, chapters, scientific-technical papers and author or co-author of 75 articles in SCI and/or AHCI journals. He has been responsible researcher or researcher in 37 projects (national and international) of R&D and Integrated Actions, member of the Technical Commission of the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage, of the International Executive Committee of the Federation of International Centres for Heritage Conservation, coordinator of the Official Master of the UGR: Science and Technology in Architectural Heritage and evaluator of Research Projects of the ANEP and the ACSUCYL Agency.

Dr Anna Arizzi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mineralogy and Petrology at the University of Granada (UGR) (ORCID ID: 0000-0002-8996-0205; SCOPUS ID: 25821710100). She holds a degree in Chemistry (Università degli studi di Messina), a Master’s degree in Geology, a PhD in Earth Sciences (University of Granada) and undertook postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford (Marie Curie IEF grant). Since 2008, she has been teaching at the University of Granada on the Bachelor’s degree programmes in Chemistry, Geology, and Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, and on the Master’s programme in Science and Technology of Architectural Heritage, which she has coordinated since 2022. She has participated in one European research project, three national projects and two Andalusian projects, and is currently the principal investigator on one national research project. She has published over 40 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, books and book chapters, and has presented over 40 papers at national and international conferences, all relating to traditional building materials. Her main areas of research focus on: (1) optimising the production of natural hydraulic lime; (2) designing new lime mortars for restoration; (3) the use of natural additives in mortars and the study of their durability; (4) designing new sustainable building materials. She is a founding partner and technical and scientific adviser to TESELA.

Graduate in Geology from the University of Oviedo. Master’s Degree in Geological Engineering from the Complutense University of Madrid and Master’s Degree in Science and Technology in Architectural Heritage from the University of Granada. Previous work experience as an assistant technician and researcher in quality control and materials characterisation companies. Currently FPI pre-doctoral fellow in the Doctorate Programme in Earth Sciences (University of Granada) within the Id-Cal project (PID2020-119838RA-I00) on the “Optimisation of the manufacturing process of natural hydraulic lime to promote its use in sustainable construction and restoration”. Three-month stay at the Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy) in scientific collaboration.

Graduate in Geology and Master’s Degree in Science and Technology in Architectural Heritage from the University of Granada (UGR). Work experience in the field of geotechnics, materials characterisation and research studies related to carbonation and water decontamination processes associated with mineral precipitation processes. He is currently working as an R&D technician in the Heritage area of Tesela.
