🏛️ DIGITALISATION OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF GRANADA: A NEW WAY OF RESTORING. 🏛️

We are collaborating with the company BIMnD España from Granada within the European project HERIFIX3D, financed by DREAM Eurocluster (SMP-COSME-2021-CLUSTER-01, GA. No. 101074436), a project coordinated by TESELA Materiales Innovación y Patrimonio.

🏗️💚 The HERIFIX3D project aims, through #lime mortars reinforced with #natural #fibres, and combined with additive and digitalisation processes, to create new methodologies for the repair of the #Heritage of cities.

🗿 For the HERIFIX3D project, we chose the digitisation of an original heritage element of the stone fauna route of #Granada: “The rampant lions holding coats of arms of the city of Granada”.

These lions, dating from before 1624 and recovered after the flooding of the river in 1684, marked the beginning of the Roman bridge over the Genil. They are currently located near the church of Santo Domingo.
Once the cultural property has been digitised, and by combining it with the sustainable materials developed, we will be able to have new, easy, cheap, sustainable and consistent methodologies for heritage restoration.
