ASSEMBLEND Project: Innovation for building facades
We are pleased to announce the launch of the European project ASSEMBLEND, funded by the 1st iClimaBuilt Call (Horizon Europe, GA. No. 952886). The project is coordinated by TESELA Materials Innovation and Heritage.
️ European ASSEMBLEND project: Ultra-lightweight aerated concrete and geopolymer-based mineral foams: A new approach for non load-bearing sandwich panel systems in façades. ️
The aim of the ASSEMBLEND project is to develop, optimise and scale up a new combination of materials to create structural panels for building facades. The sustainable, low-workload panels will be used to rehabilitate damaged façades. For this purpose, ultra lightweight cellular concrete (ULWCC) and geopolymer-based foams (GPF) will be combined to create a new type of sandwich panels.
