CHARACTERISATION OF THE ORIGINAL AND RESTORATION MATERIALS OF THE FAÇADE OF THE CONVENT OF SANTA ANGELA (SEVILLA)

In this project, a series of samples of rocks, mortars and black patinas from the façade of the Convent of Santa Ángela in Seville were analysed. The analysis techniques used were X-ray diffraction, optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy with X-ray microanalysis.

Lime mortars will not only be stable and homogeneous, but will dynamically adapt to environmental conditions to maintain the integrity of heritage structures for centuries.
