CHARACTERISATION OF THE MATERIALS OF THE ARAB BATHS OF ALFACAR (GRANADA)

For this project, a series of samples of mortars from the Arab Baths of Alfacar in Granada, from the Andalusian period and dating from the 13th to 15th centuries were analysed, although only the warm and hot rooms have been preserved. The analytical techniques used for their study were X-ray diffraction (XRD) and polarised optical microscopy (POM).

The digital newspaper GranadaHoy reports: “The Diputación de Granada will restore the Arab baths of Alfacar through the Heritage Conservation Plan”.
