At TESELA<\/strong>, we have contributed to the restoration of C\u00f3rdoba\u2019s historical heritage<\/strong> by working on the minaret tower of the former Convent of Santa Clara,<\/strong> a 10th-century Caliphate-era minaret<\/strong> that was converted into a bell tower following the Reconquista. This project has been instrumental in preserving a historic monument of great cultural value.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

Characterisation of historical and replacement materials<\/h4>\n\n

Our work focused on the analysis of mortars and stone materials<\/strong>, both original and replacement, with the aim of:<\/p>\n\n

  • \ud83d\udd0e Identify the composition and state of preservation<\/strong> of historical materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u2692\ufe0f Distinguish between original materials and later additions<\/strong>, ensuring the monument\u2019s authenticity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \ud83d\udee0\ufe0f To provide technical guidelines to inform restoration work<\/strong>, ensuring that interventions are compatible and sustainable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    Contribution to historical heritage<\/h4>\n\n

    Thanks to this work, conservation and restoration decisions <\/strong>are based on accurate scientific data<\/strong>, respecting the authenticity of the Caliphate minaret<\/strong> and promoting sustainable interventions<\/strong> that preserve its historical value.<\/p>\n\n
