Opened as a hotel on 10 November 1930, it was the fourth Parador in the state-run network and the first to be established in a Renaissance palace. <\/p>\n\n<p>Since then, it has undergone several refurbishments, most notably the major refurbishment undertaken between 1985 and 1986, which modernised its facilities without sacrificing its historical essence.<\/p>\n\n<p>Located in the heart of Plaza V\u00e1zquez de Molina, the Parador de \u00dabeda is a key part of the city\u2019s Renaissance architectural ensemble, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its preservation is therefore a priority not only at a local level, but also at a national level. <\/p>\n\n<p>In August 2024, Turespa\u00f1a\u2014through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (Next Generation EU)\u2014awarded a contract worth \u20ac870,406 to the company Fortress Restauraci\u00f3n de Monumentos, S.L., to carry out a new phase of conservation and restoration work on the building. This project forms part of an ambitious national plan that includes improvements to more than 30 historic Paradores \u2014such as those in Santiago de Compostela, La Granja, Ronda and Lorca\u2014 with a total investment of around 89\u201390 million euros. <\/p>\n\n<p>The works focus on:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Restoration of the fa\u00e7ades, entrance hall and the exterior fountain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interventions on the interior drainage and roof of the De\u00e1n Ortega Palace<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The aim is to preserve this building as an Asset of Cultural Interest and to reinforce its tourist, cultural and architectural value within the heritage fabric of \u00dabeda.<\/p>\n\n<p>At TESELA, we have collaborated in different tasks related to the previous studies of this heritage asset.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":6612,"template":"","fecha-realizacion":[195],"tipo-proyecto":[50],"class_list":["post-6794","proyecto","type-proyecto","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","fecha-realizacion-2025-en","tipo-proyecto-heritage"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/teselainnova.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/proyecto\/6794","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/teselainnova.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/proyecto"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/teselainnova.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/proyecto"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/teselainnova.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/6612"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/teselainnova.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=6794"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"fecha-realizacion","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/teselainnova.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/fecha-realizacion?post=6794"},{"taxonomy":"tipo-proyecto","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/teselainnova.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tipo-proyecto?post=6794"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
