{"id":3136,"date":"2019-12-30T18:40:00","date_gmt":"2019-12-30T17:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teselainnova.com\/proyecto\/caracterisation-peinture-eglise-san-dionisio-abbaye-acromonte-grenade\/"},"modified":"2024-04-18T17:58:35","modified_gmt":"2024-04-18T15:58:35","slug":"characterization-painting-church-san-dionisio-abbey-sacromonte-granada","status":"publish","type":"proyecto","link":"https:\/\/teselainnova.com\/en\/project\/characterization-painting-church-san-dionisio-abbey-sacromonte-granada\/","title":{"rendered":"THE CHURCH OF SAN DIONISIO IN THE ABBEY OF SACROMONTE (GRANADA): CHARACTERISATION OF PAINTING SAMPLES"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In this project, a <strong>characterisation of the mural paintings<\/strong> of the Church of San Dionisio in the <strong>Abad\u00eda del Sacromonte in Granad<\/strong>a was carried out.<\/p>\n\n<p>This neo-Gothic church is one of the most unknown structures in the Abbey and a unique example in Granada that evokes those London churches linked to Romanticism.<\/p>\n\n<p>It was built next to the New College during the great enlargement of the Abbey in the 19th century and has a single nave, pointed arches closed with stained glass windows and covered with ribbed vaults. <\/p>\n\n<p>For characterisation, a number of samples of wall paintings were analysed in order to identify their nature.
