The analysis techniques used were loupe-videomicroscopy, X-ray diffraction and optical microscopy.<\/p>\n\n<p>These galleries have been identified as possible thermal baths or a cryptoporticus. In Roman architecture, the cryptoporticus was an underground covered gallery or corridor for circulation or storage.
