The analytical techniques used were: X-ray diffraction; optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. We have shown that bacterial carbonatogenic activity is possible on low porosity stones with decay by-products such as gypsum, as well as surface deposits of clay minerals and (ineffective) alkoxysilane pre-treatments.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Lime mortars will not only be stable and homogeneous, but will dynamically adapt to environmental conditions to maintain the integrity of heritage structures for centuries.<\/p>\n<cite>Mention<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n  <div
