TESELA AS A SPIN-OFF OF THE UGR
TESELA has been recognized as a Spin-Off of the University of Granada, thanks to one of our founding partners, Prof. Eduardo Sebastián Pardo, main researcher of the Research Group “Study and conservation of building materials in the Architectural Heritage” within the Department of Mineralogy and Petrology (University of Granada).
This group has been researching on traditional, raw and artificial building materials for more than 20 years. Its experience, together with modern instrumental methods of analysis, enables the group to carry out preliminary diagnostic studies on the original materials and their pathologies. These methods also enable the group to monitor and give advice on the behaviour and technical quality of the repair building materials during the execution of a restoration work. In this way, the group has been promoting a great number of successful conservation and architectural restoration projects on different historic and monumental buildings.
