Characterisation of the building materials of the Nasrid Tower of Cambrón (Salobreña, Granada)

In this project, a characterisation of the materials that constitute the Nasrid Tower of Cambrón, located in the gardens of the Salobreña Hotel (Granada), was carried out.

For this purpose, a series of brick and mortar samples from different areas of the Tower were studied in order to detect possible constructive differences between the samples taken and the presence of pathologies.

The analysis techniques used were X-ray diffraction and optical microscopy on thin film.
