Course: DIGITALIZATION OF HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS. From the capture to the digital repository. 2nd Edition
From 18 to 22 December 2017INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES
Scanning is a complex process of converting paper documents into a digital virtual document format, using optical capture procedures and digital back-up of that capture. After capture, a complex process opens up, from index-linked inclusion to electronic management classification. Given the large number of documents that have to be made public for research consultation, there is a growing demand for professionals capable of directing or participating in projects to digitize scientific heritage documents and/or documents from private and public companies.
