Characterisation of the building materials used in the Bibarrambla Gate of the Alhambra Gardens

We analysed stone and mortar samples from the “Puerta Bibarrambla”, an ancient monumental gate located in the Alhambra gardens since 1935. The analytical techniques used were: X-ray diffraction; optical microscopy and cement staining.
